David Letterman Receives Death Threat

David Letterman has been targeted for death by a jihadist, who has ordered his followers to “cut the tongue of the lowly Jew (Letterman is Presbyterian) and shut it forever.”

In a seething rant on the Shumukh al-Islam Web forum, the radical claims that Letterman must be punished for joking about Al Qaeda leader Ilyas Kashmiri being killed during a U.S. strike in Pakistan.

Kashmiri had been named as a possible replacement for the late Osama bin Laden.

CBS’s Late Show is currently on hiatus, while a spokesman for Letterman’s production company, Worldwide Pants, would not comment.

The FBI is investigating the threat.
