The third and final installment in the Batman series, ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ could shape up to be just as big as its predecessor.

Very little is known about the film, except that Christian Bale will be reprising his role as the caped crusader, Tom Hardy of ‘Inception’ will be playing the role of the villain Bane and Anne Hathaway will play Catwoman.

As a fan of the original Batman films, I have to say when I heard that Bane would be the main villain I couldn’t get images of Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy controlling a mind-less, grunting Bane out of my head. (Batman and Robin)

Hopefully the character is more well-rounded in this film.

But, I must say the casting of Anne Hathaway as Selena Kyle was pure genius. She has the same beautiful, yet awkward way about her that made the casting of Michelle Pfeiffer so perfect the first time around.

In the trailer, that has just made its way to the internet, we see a sickly Commissioner Gordon pleading for Batman’s return. We also see a close up of Tom Hardy’s Bane and a lot of destruction in the city of Gotham.
