According to a report from Star magazine, Lady Gaga is on a dangerous edge when it comes to her health. The celebrity journalist, who is famous for predicting the death of Michael Jackson and profiling the likes of Brad Pitt and Arnold Schwarzenegger, has now set his sights on exposing the secrets of New York-born, Mother Monster.

“Those who have worked with her on tour reported to me that Gaga barely ate for weeks at a time to fit into her costume,” said Halperin, who has spent 12 months investigating Gaga for his book.

“She is sick and obsessed with her weight. One friend told me, Gaga will stare at herself in the mirror for hours on end, analyzing and critiquing her body. It’s an unhealthy obsession.”

While Gaga has admitted to having lupus, Halperin’s new book states her illness is far more serious than she lets on.

As far as drug use goes, Gaga has said before that she’s drug free, but according to Halperin that’s not so, and hasn’t been for a long time.

“Her drug use started young. From heroin to cocaine and ecstasy, her friends say that she has done every drug conceivable. You name it she has done it.”
