Former boybander Joe Jonas wants to separate himself from his Jonas Brothers persona and venture out on his own musically.

During a performance last Wednesday night in Williamsburg NY, he attempted to do just that… unfortunately, things didn’t quite go the way he had hoped.

Promoting his upcoming solo album ‘Fast Life‘ as the opening act for Swizz Beatz, the singer didn’t warm up the crowd at House of Vans.

The evening was sponsored by beer makers Corona, who gave out mini basketballs to the crowd as part of promotions for their product.

Interestingly, those same basketballs made their way up on the stage during Jonas’ performance. The club-goers were so unimpressed with his performance, that they pelted him with the mini green balls.

Only a small front row group of screaming girls were there to cheer on their favorite Jonas Bro.

Gotta give Joe props though… the incident didn’t hinder his performance in the slightest. Much to the chagrin of the folks in the crowd.

Wow, why did I have to miss that? I would have given my first born to witness that. LOL.
