Jessica Alba Talks Downside of Pregnancy

Jessica Alba is expecting a second child, but is she worried about losing the baby weight again?

In an interview with Allure Magazine, Alba reveals that she never really lost all the baby weight from her first pregnancy.

“I can’t ever get down to the weight I was before I had Honor,” reveals the 30-year-old actress.

“My body’s just different. The jeans just sort of zip up differently, and things hang differently. It’s a miracle what happens, but you definitely are different afterward. Unless you’re Gisele,” she adds.

To be fair, there is still the possibility that Gisele isn’t even human.

An unexpected side effect of the pregnancy, Alba reveals, is her newfound appreciation for sexuality.

“It wasn’t something I embraced until I had my daughter,” says the actress. “I saw how incredible and amazing it is to be a woman and to be able to create a life. There’s a reason why certain areas of the body are desirable – because it all leads to reproduction.”

Alba also reveals that the one thing about pregnancy she could do without is the constant scrutiny from the media about her body.

“You’re pregnant. Your stomach is not going to be flat. You’re not ‘flaunting’ it; you’re just walking to the store or across a parking lot.”

Congrats on the new baby and newfound confidence Jessica.
