Pope Benedict XVI Joins Twitter (Video)
Pope Benedict XVI has joined Twitter, sending his first tweet on Tuesday from the Vatican media’s Twitter account.
It seems so surreal, doesn’t it?
The 84-year-old’s first tweet praised Jesus and directed his fans to News.va, the Catholic Church’s just-launched portal for official news.

“I want to be present wherever the people are found,” said Benedict.
“Dear Friends, I just launched http:http://t.co/DZoqEGz Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI,” tweeted the Pope.
“I want to be present wherever the people are found.”
At the time of this report, Pope Benedict XVI has just over 9,000 followers.
It will be interesting to see how quickly that number increases.
