Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman and fiance Benjamin Millepied welcome a baby boy into the family.

The pair met on the set of her film Black Swan for which Millepied served as her choreographer, and announced their engagement in December.

Portman either did not know, or kept well hidden the baby’s gender saying that “I’m very superstitious. I’m very Jewish that way. We don’t do that.”

The actress has stated that once the baby arrives she will be staying away from the spotlight to focus on her family.

How much time off is she planning on taking? “I’ll be out of the public eye after [the baby's born],” Portman said, adding that she will be laying low for a while and will just take any future career opportunity “as it comes.”

The baby’s name has not yet been announced.
