New York congressman Anthony Weiner has officially resigned today after a photo of him wearing women’s lingerie was released by the National Enquirer yesterday.

The scandal-magnet congressman announced at a news conference that he had decided to give up his House seat and resign.

While resigning at the press conference, Weiner was heckled by Benjy from The Howard Stern Show who was in the crowd.

Benjy yelled things like “Were you fully erect?” and “Bye bye Pervert.” Weiner remained unfazed.

The photo was captured by a college friend in 1982, when the-then 18-year-old Weiner attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

The scandal began when a photo was released of Weiner’s wiener through his Twitter account.

Throughout the entire scandal Weiner has refused to resign, but this photo was the last straw.

To be honest this photo was taken when Weiner was 18 and in college, it’s not like he was in lingerie last week.

We all do dumb stuff when we’re young.
