You might be wondering who LA-ex is, well if you’re an American Idol fan, then I can guarantee that you’ll know at least one of the groups members.

Antonella Barba, the sweet sultry singer from New Jersey, charmed her way into the judges good graces with a voice as smooth as silk.

Barba heads up the threesome with stunning vocals and a cool electro-pop sound. She is joined by Epic and SQRL, two former members of the band Crazy Town. ‘Member them? ‘Come my lady, come come my lady. You’re my butterfly, sugar, baby!’

I loved them!

After locking themselves inside the studio for six months, they emerged with a sound that will likely take the music scene by storm.

LA-ex‘s frontwoman is no stranger to controversy. The lovely Barba made the news after it was discovered that she had posed for provocative photos just before the final 12 announcement was made for Idol.

The whole thing was controversial because of a double standard which occurred where Barba had not been removed from the competition after the photos became public.

This is in contrast to the scandal that rocked season 2 contestant Frenchie Davis, who was eliminated after topless photos of her surfaced.

Hey Idol execs… talk about a double standard!
