The world learned that Tori Spelling was pregnant with baby number 3 via Twitter. But how did she spill the beans to husband Dean McDermott?

The “Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings” star told PEOPLE all about it in a recent interview.

“I found out on Valentine’s Day,” the 37-year-old actress said. “It was perfect timing.”

She delivered the good news to her hubby as his V-Day gift.

“I wrapped up the pregnancy test in a box and bow and gave it to Dean as his Valentine’s Day gift,” she explained. “He was beyond surprised. Best gift ever!”

I’m sure he loved getting something his wife had peed on. But, I guess it’s the thought that counts.

The couple have two children together, 4-year-old son Liam and daughter Stella, who is 2 1/2. (McDermott also has a 12-year-old son from a previous relationship.)

According to Spelling, their son guessed the news before they told him.

“Liam kept saying, ‘Your belly is getting huge. That means there’s a baby in there,’ ” she said.

This pregnancy has been a little rougher than her previous two.

“I have been nauseous for the past three months straight,” she said. “Thankfully it is starting to get better now.”

While Spelling has been forthcoming about her pregnancy, there is one little tidbit of info the couple won’t be sharing – via Twitter or otherwise: the sex of baby number 3.

“We’ve been blessed with a boy and a girl already, so this time we’ve decided to do it the traditional way and not find out the sex,” Spelling told PEOPLE.
