Donald Trump has been going around saying that he’s considering running for President of the United States in 2012.
Well there’s at least one person who won’t be checking Donald Trump’s name — if the Celebrity Apprentice host should actually make it onto a presidential ballot: Bill Cosby.
Cosby appeared on the Today show Wednesday morning to tout his own efforts to further education in lower income urban areas.
When Meredith Vieira asked the comedian and former TV star his thoughts about Trump’s political aspirations, Cosby said Trump is “full of it.”
Cosby later elaborated that he’s frustrated by Trump’s back-and-forth attitude about the possible 2012 presidential run. “You run or shut up,” Cosby said. “Look, people have run for president for any reason. Come on, open your mouth — run!”
Trump has said he will wait for the current season of Celebrity Apprentice to end before he makes any official announcement, in keeping with election law. If he made a formal move now, NBC would have to stop airing the show.
