Wow, can you believe that Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor now is an Oscar winning composer? It’s so surreal. (WOOT WOOT)

Director Tim Burton has hired Trent on to do the score for his upcoming film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter along with co-oscar-winner Atticus Ross.

Not only will Reznor be scoring the film, but he has also won himself a role as well. Burton cast him as the vampire that kills Honest Abe’s mommy, and is the catalyst for the president’s revenge seeking ways.

Pretty cool huh?

When I first starting listening to Nine Inch Nails waaaaaay back in 1989 (wow I’m old!) I never figured that the world would truly appreciate the genius of Trent Reznor.

I am very pleased that I was wrong. Even if it took like 20 something years to happen.

Congratulations Trent, on both your Oscar win and your new found career in acting! Best of luck on both fronts, it’s well deserved!
