Paz de la Huerta Arrested For Assaulting Samantha Swetra

Did you know “paz” means peace in Spanish?

Paz de la Huerta may need to be reminded of that fact. According to TMZ, the “Boardwalk Empire” star was arrested last night for allegedly assaulting model Samantha Swetra at a Manhattan nightclub over the weekend.

According to the NY Daily News, the incident took place at a party at the Standard Hotel after one of Swetra’s male friends hit on de la Huerta. The former “City” cast member took offense and made a snarky comment about de la Huerta’s level of intoxication. The native New Yorker responded first by throwing a glass at her, then popped her one right in the kisser.

De la Huerta was escorted out by security after the altercation, which left Swetra bloody and bruised. Luckily the former reality star’s pal Lindsay Lohan was on hand to help pick shards of glass out of her leg.

(Hey, wait! Isn’t she on probation? What was she doing in a nightclub in the wee hours of the morn?)

Swetra told the Daily News she planned to press charges, and apparently she made good on that threat. After her arrest Tuesday, De la Huerta was released and ordered to appear in court on April 18.
