Now that Lindsay Lohan has realized that she’s going to do jail time in her jewelry theft case either way, she probably decided to go with the devil she knows (6 months), as opposed to the devil she doesn’t (one year?)

Despite previously saying that she didn’t want to take the plea deal, LiLo is discussing it and is trying to work something out. Lindsay’s attorney has been speaking to the D.A.’s office about copping a plea in the case – but the D.A. won’t budge on the six month jail term.

Lindsay’s attorney will meet with the judge soon to ask what sort of sentence he’ll hand down if she pleads guilty or no contest. Reportedly, the judge may get lock her up for three months. With all of the overcrowding, she may do roughly 18 days.

Ahhh…celebrity justice!

It’s likely that a deal can be struck, but Lindsay has to face the reality that she will be getting three hots and a cot for some time.
