It’s been a LONG time since American Pie first hit theaters, all the way back in good old 1999. (wait, wrong movie!)

It’s about time they had their 10 year high school reunion, no? Especially since it’s been what, 13 years? My my, how time flies!

The folks over at Universal are going full steam ahead with the production, and rumor has it that filming is set to begin in April!

Kinda odd though, since Eugene Levy, Jason Biggs, and Seann William Scott are the only ones that have actually penned a deal. The rest of the original cast members are still ‘in talks’.

Obviously, they must be close to signing the deal with all of them, or else they’d be worried.

MovieFone has the low-down on what happens with the characters 10 years later;

Here’s a quick rundown on what some of your favorite characters have been up to since graduation (and the sequels):

• Oz (Chris Klein) became a contestant on a show not unlike ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and lives in a huge mansion. He’s the guy who comes home after making it big.

• Stifler (Sean William Scott), on the other hand, hasn’t done as well post–high school. He’s working as a temp for a boss who refers to him as “his bitch” and isn’t doing so hot with the ladies.

• Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) are still married. Jim’s an Internet sensation thanks to his encounter with Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth) back in the first film. Apparently, there could be trouble in marital paradise, as the young girl next door (now all grown up) has a little thing for our boy Jim.

Hehehe, Nadia and Jim. What a great moment that was. I can’t wait till next January!
