Rihanna To Star In ‘The Bodyguard’ Remake?
We knew that Hollywood was all out of ideas when execs said that they planned to do a remake of “The Bodyguard”, which originally starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner.
But now we’re hearing reports that Rihanna might be up for the role!

According to “Deadline”, Rihanna is being considered for the lead role in the movie.
If she takes the role, she will also have to sing the famous song in it, “I Will Always Love You”, which I’m not sure anyone other than Whitney could pull off.
The remake will update the story of a singer being stalked and will see the lead character get harassed through the means of Twitter and other social networking sites.
The site claims: “The goal is to take a young female singer with global appeal and give her the platform that The Bodyguard did Houston.”
What do you think of RiRi taking that role? Do you think she can pull it off? Sound off in the comments below!

didn’t they see Rhianna singing one of whitney’s song hero.. she murder it.. i will always love you as a lot of keys to hold. plz nooooooooooooooooooooo… she can’t sing and we are all tired of Auto tune.
Whitney doesn’t have a song called “Hero,” Mariah Carey does….
Get your facts straight before you start hating on people…
I think Rihanna would be great, if they re-did the song to better suit her voice. Also, the movie was cheesy back in the 90s so I think that might be their biggest hurdle.
she will do great, if shes one the biggest name in the music industry then she will be a huge name in movies .
i love you riri 4ever
YES! RIHANNA !!!! IS PERFECT FOR THE MOVIE!NO ONE FITS BETTER THAN HER GR8 CHOICE!AND THEY WILL FIND A VERSION THT FIT HER VOICE!
Yessssssss! Bring it on. Rihanna would be great. She’s hot, young, and the current ‘it’ girl. I’d love to see her in the role.
The movie should star Whitney as a megastar recovering addict, who needs protection from her former drug suppliers. The climax of the movie will be a confrontation between Whitney, her bodyguard, and the drug dealers when they demand their money at a Popeyes drive-thru, while Whitney is in the back seat screaming “Show me the receipts.” I don’t think the need to replace Whitney, just allow it to be more autobiographical.
