Madonna Responds To Lady Gaga ‘Express Yourself’ Controversy
With the recent surge of comparisons between Lady Gaga‘s newly released single Born This Way and Madonna‘s 1989 classic Express Yourself (I’ve received TONS of emails), the last person you’d expect to hear from is the legend herself.
She just doesn’t normally address this sort of thing.

It is certainly curious that a 1989 performance of “Express Yourself” at the MTV Video Music Awards was uploaded to the pop legend’s official YouTube channel yesterday.

Is Madonna trying to send a message? Are rumors of the song’s re-release true? Only time will tell, but for now, speculation is sure to continue as the songs’ similarities remain a hot topic.

“No matter what you did. No matter who you are. No matter where you’ve come from…You can always change…Become a better version of yourself.” – Madonna

This is not good for lady Gaga. Perception is reality and the damage is done. An artist needs to strive to be unique and not be a clone of another. Having heros is good but wanting to be just like them to this extreme is certainly not. Hope she has a good spin doctor, not to mention a good lawyer as well.
