Tim Burton‘s revival of the 1960′s horror soap opera Dark Shadows has just received another confirmed cast member.

Former Bond girl Eva Green has been brought on board to breathe new life into Angelique; Barnabas Collins‘ scorned lover/witch.

I was too young to enjoy the soap opera when it was on air, but in the early 1990′s when Dark Shadows the Revival was broadcast as a mini-series I was addicted.

Aside from the fact that I’m pretty much guaranteed to love anything that stars Johnny Depp, I’m really keen about Green playing crazed Angelique. I’ve never put much stock into who they could get to do a good job on that character, but Green indeed seems a good fit.

Can’t wait to see the finished product when it hits theaters next year.
