Demi Lovato Seeks Help For Eating Disorder – Video
It looks like Demi Lovato didn’t only have “physical and emotional” issues to deal with during her stay at rehab. Apparently, she’s getting treatment for an eating disorder, as well!
Who knew?!? I mean, it was rumored previously, but there was no confirmation until now that she had problems with food.
Demi has been working hard on her recovery and has decided to focus completely on that, without work getting in the way. She was spotted arriving at A New Journey Eating Disorder Center in Santa Monica just yesterday for further treatment and counseling.
The website states that the program consists of “a combination of specialized groups, nutritional meal planning, supervised meals, meal processing, and educational presentations designed to support the recovery process.”

Good for her! It really sounds like she’s getting her life back in order and is on the right track. Reportedly, she’s going on tour this year, so she has a lot of good stuff planned. Maybe an album, too? We shall see! Stay tuned to Allieiswired for the latest updates!

That is by far the most ignorant (as in totally uniformed) comment I have ever heard. If you had done your research, you would know that an eating disorder is not a food problem but an emotional problem.
I hate how this site states an eating disorder as “having problems with food” an eating disorder is a SERIOUS mental illness!!! It has nothing to do with food at all. People with eating disorders use food restriction, binges, or purging as a coping mechanism. And an eating disorder becomes an addiction!!! I really look up to Demi getting herself into treatment because i’m in treatment as well, and i know how hard it is to fight your inner demons.
And to all her fans that think she’s going to make a quick return, dont hold your breath. An eating disorder isnt “cured” overnight, it takes months and months and years, to MAYBE be considered fully recovered. I wish Demi the best :)
It would suck knowing that camaras are watching you all the time! Damn Cant a person have some privacy She cant get out of the damn car with out some one recording her! Poor Demi She needs all the love and support she can get
While I am proud of her and happy that she’s getting help, I find it incredibly skeezy and wrong for the guy who taped this to be exploiting her problems like this. Give the poor girl some privacy; these things are hard enough to deal with when you’re not under a microscope. I woudn’t hold it against her if she told him to F*ck off.
