Amanda Seyfried Denies Ryan Phillippe Hit On Rihanna (Video)

Yesterday, we reported that Ryan Phillippe was trying to put the mack moves on Rihanna, but was brutally rebuffed by the singer. Today, his girlfriend, Amanda Seyfried, is calling BS on the reports.

He was said to have tried to pick Rihanna up, asking what she was doing at the Gucci/Roc Nation brunch yesterday. She blew him off, according to reports.


Amanda is pulling out the girlfriend card, saying that he did NOT try picking up RiRi! Amanda was moving her stuff into her new place, when “X17″ caught up with her.

She chatted with snappers, but when the subject of Ryan hitting on Rihanna came up, she decided to clear the air. She said, “Oh, he’s a nice guy — we’re friends. And that Rihanna story is not true. That is so f*cking not true!”

Wow, someone took offense to the rumors! Was she hiding in his back pocket? Does she know for sure that Ryan didn’t try to pull some moves on Rihanna, but got dissed???

I don’t think she seemed that pissed off. I probably would have reacted the same way. lol Or I would have said nothing. lol

She sounds like she is outraged by the press rather than jealous. I think she knows where she stands with Ryan and vice versa and is OK with it.

I don’t she’s jealous, but it does sound like she’s in denial. That guy has a long history of cheating.

I think Amanda is one of those women described by Freud as being able to only love a man who loves them back. This is common among really beautiful women. They will demand total adoration from any lover, or they will kick him out into the street. Most men find such women irresistible, even if they aren’t so beautiful; but Seyfried is so pretty that I sort of feel sorry for Phillippe. When she was dating Dominic Cooper, he would fly to New York or L.A. or even to North Carolina to be with her, while she would be caught by paparazzi strolling around Malibu with other men. But when Cooper was caught flirting with Lindsey Lohan, Seyfried kicked his butt out the door and all across the lawn.

I can imagine what happened with Phillippe. Seyfried caught him chatting with a pretty woman at a party, so she decided his playboy reputation was accurate and broke up with him, whereupon he got all mushy and heartbroken and suicidal, and swore on bended knee to never, ever do that again as long as he lived.

So, when it was reported he had flirted with Rihanna, Seyfried was sure the rumor was typical tabloid hyperbole.
