Earlier this month, it was said that Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from his wife Tish because she was hooking up with the main bandana lovin’ man, Bret Michaels. Reportedly, he asked Tish if she wanted to stay in the house and continue rockin’ his world…

Until today, Bret kept mum on the topic of Tish.

Now, he has issued a firm denial on the affair rumors, silencing the tabloids who started that the two of them hooked up. Bret rebuffed the rumors, saying that he has been friends with the Cyrus family “forever”.

When asked if he was banging Miley’s mom, he said, “The answer is no. It started out with me and Miley simply working on a song together. Her mom, Tish, likes ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’, the first concert Miley ever saw was Poison, and so they wanted to remake it for the new record.”

He added, “When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song, a song I wrote for my album, ‘Custom Built’, and she came over and sang on that and honestly, she did a beautiful job, and that was it. Then they started with all the controversy.”
