Robert Pattinson Turns Down Simon Cowell Record Deal

Robert Pattinson plays a lovestruck vampire in the “Twilight” movies, but he has a softer side, which he expresses in his music.

Rob calls his music depressing and says that he even turned down a record deal with mogul Simon Cowell.

The actor has admitted that he turned down the deal with Simon because he doesn’t think Simon would be able to launch his music career.

He said, “I love Simon, I think he is a great personality and I think his shows are entertaining. He is a clever guy and he created artists that he knows the public will like, that’s why I don’t think he could ever launch my music career.”

He went on, “I am selfish with my music. I get my guitar and I play what I like, but the problem is I don’t think many other people would like it.”

I beg to differ! I bet a ton of Twi-hards would purchase anything he released. Don’t you?

Still, Rob says that his music will get the appreciation it deserves once he’s dead. He added, “I am sure I’ll be one of those artists that people don’t pay attention to while I’m alive, and when I am dead people will go, ‘Yeah man, that was a work of art.’”

What do you think? Should he go for it?
