Charlize Theron to Play Snow White’s Evil Queen?

Universal Pictures is fast-tracking a new adaptation of the classic fairy tale story of Snow White.

Super-sexy and diverse actress Charlize Theron is reportedly in talks to star as the Evil Stepmother/Queen in the retelling.

Snow White and the Huntsman is slated to have a 2012 release, and talks have begun for casting of the film. Front-runner to play the Huntsman is Inception star Tom Hardy, with the actor very close to signing the deal.

I’m quite curious to see which route they go with on this one. There are so many different versions of this tale out there, from the Grimm Brothers version, to the Disney one and beyond.

Not much is known about the production yet, but we’ll be sure to bring you more details as they become available.

Do you think she can pull off the Evil Queen? I just don’t know…
