Celine Dion and husband René Angelil are happy parents to twin boys!

The songbird entered into St. Mary’s Medical Center in Palm Beach, Florida on October 18th, under the advisement of her doctors.

I still have to wonder if it was planned like that or if it was a medical precaution as they’ve claimed. Either way, the babies are happy and healthy and that’s all that matters!

It was rumored that she had planned the delivery of her new babies, but René quickly denied that.

Celine gave birth to fraternal twin boys on Saturday, October 23rd at 11:11 and 11:12 a.m. Her rep said, “Celine, René and their son René-Charles are thrilled.”

People magazine reports:

One of the babies weighed in at 5 lbs., 4 oz., with the other at 5 lbs., 10 oz.

Dion’s doctor, Ronald Ackerman, said at a press conference outside the hospital Friday evening that the delivery, done via C-section, went as expected. He also revealed that the twins were both born with a good amount of hair.

The babies are said to be healthy, but were born prematurely and have to spend a few days in an incubator.

Her rep added, “Celine is resting now and they plan to discuss what to name the boys when she wakes up. René-Charles has been to the hospital to visit his brothers and is just so excited they are here.”
