Willow Smith Releases ‘Whip My Hair’ – Listen Here!
Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s daughter, Willow, is pursuing a music career! And she has just released her first single, aptly titled, “Whip My Hair”.
According to reports, Willow is in talks with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label. Wow, that’s not too shabby for a kid who’s only nine-years-old (or any age, for that matter!)
Willow definitely can sing and I have heard a lot worse from more well established musical acts (Katy Perry, anyone?) I just hope that she can catch her break and make it big. She’ll show those Disney kids how to make it, just like Justin Bieber, without a huge machine behind them.

so another kid born into the entertainment industry gets launched as if talent and hard work got her there.
i hope she has fun but the zillion kids they SELL this stuff to will never have the opportunity that was delivered to her doorstep. The whole ‘kids as stars’ machine is getting too big and has no reality.

Willow Smith sounds incredible! Especially for somone whos only 9 years old. I have to say that I was very impressed. And yes she does sound like Rihanna whos really hot right now. If she can release a cool R&B music video to go with this hot R&B song I reckon that shes going to have a top 10 smash. As for the type of R&B music video she needs to create i think if you look at Cassies music videos and Ciaras music videos both of these would be a great style for her. Shes definitely one to watch though and 2011 may just be her year.

Let’s be real. If it wasn’t for her Dad, she would be like every other starving artist. We can’t look past the fact that the number one item on her christmas wish list was a record deal with Jay Z…
I do not think such a young child should be launched into the music industry as of yet, movies is OK, i do think she is a mini Rhianna. (do not know if thats a great thing) i think she is talented but i think she be young. but i give her props.
