Billy Corgan couldn’t take the pressure of having once banged Jessica Simpson and tried to off himself on Wednesday. Just kidding, but he actually did collapse on stage….and there were no Jessica masks to blame.

According to his Twitter, he blacked out and fell into the drum kit during the Smashing Pumpkins show in Tampa Bay, Florida on Wednesday evening. The group was performing “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” when he collapsed.

He tweeted about the incident, saying, “And for those that saw me fall last night during Bullet, that wasn’t a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out. I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I’ve got quite a good bruise + am moving slow.”

I’d put money on dehydration being the culprit. Florida is unforgivingly hot and humid this time of year. I’ll bet he just needs to rest and rehydrate himself before he does some serious damage. Poor guy, hope he feels better soon. He’s got a show to play tonight!
