A lawsuit erupted over at camp “Desperate Housewives.” Nicollette Sheridan is suing the brains behind the show claiming that he hit her in the head and face after she confronted him about a script issue. The price tag on this claim is just over $20 million.

“In the legal papers Nicollette is suing for assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination. In the lawsuit, Sheridan claims Cherry created a hostile work environment from the get go, “behaving in an extremely abusive and aggressive manner toward the individuals who work on the show.”

Her story surrounds the date of September 24, 2008. Sheridan stated that Cherry “took her aside” and then “forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head.” The tale further weaves ABC into the incident. She claimed to have reported the incident to the network and nothing was done. Subsequently, the abuse continued according to Nicollette.

“The suit also alleges when Cherry found out Teri Hatcher went above his head to complain about him, he said, “I hope Teri Hatcher gets hit by a car and dies.”

ABC is rolling their eyes at the claims and told TMZ:

“While we have yet to see the actual complaint, we investigated similar claims made by Ms. Sheridan last year and found them to be without merit.”

I haven’t watched this mess in years. Nothing about it was intriguing past the first few seasons. Although, Cherry did make his start under the wing of Dixie Carter during her “Designing Women” days. I loved that sassy queen.
