After a starring role in the first movie as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant, Jennifer Hudson will now lend her voice to the much awaited film ”Sex And The City 2”, teaming up with Leona Lewis to record the sequel’s theme song.

Most recently Leona recorded a snippet for cotton. (See Below)

A source tells Britain’s The Sun, “The pair have recorded the song and it’s being discussed as either the main theme or to feature on the soundtrack. They each have incredible voices and will appeal to both the U.K. and the U.S. It’s perfect for the next SATC film.”

This will not be the first time that Lewis has had her music featured in big movie scores. Her songs have also appeared in “Avatar” and “Precious.” SATC2 is due to be released worldwide in May and will see the four main characters – Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte – taking a vacation in Abu Dahbi and will include guest appearances by Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus and Liza Minelli.
