Rob Fusari helped create Lady Gaga’s entire persona, or so he says. In a new lawsuit filed Wednesday, the music producer and ex-boyfriend claims that he created the personality that we now know as Lady Gaga.

He claims that she got her name from a mixed up text message that he sent her saying, “Radio GaGa” and the spell checker corrected it to “Lady Gaga” and she loved it.

He claims that he helped develop her entire act and is suing her for a whopping $30 million. He also claims that she gave him 20 percent ownership of her company, but changed her mind once she became a household name.

His lawyer said, “He discovered her. It was his songs and productions and connections that got her her first deal.” He also claims that he broke off their romantic involvement in 2007 and that’s when she cut him off financially.

He also says he hooked Lady Gaga up with Interscope Records, where she’s become a megastar. Fusari says he’s entitled to 15-20 percent of her earnings as a co-owner of her company, but has only received one proper check, for $209,000.
