Courtney Love has shed a little bit of light on her high-profiled bust-up with her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.

Courtney said that the rift is due to her daughter attacking her, more specifically, punching, biting and scratching her during an attack.

In December, the 17-year-old was placed with her grandmother and aunt after a huge falling out with her mother. A judge then slapped her with a restraining order, prohibiting her from contacting the estranged teen.

Courtney said, “I was talking on the phone. Frances came out of my room. She was hysterical. First she was crying at my legs, saying, ‘Why was I born?’ Then she bites and scratches and pulls on my hair. She punched me. I grabbed her with both arms. That left a bruise and she took a picture of her bruise.”

Court insists that this will all have a happy ending and that the Bean will be back with her before her 18th birthday in August.
