I had pledged my virginity to Corey Haim after falling in love with him while watching “Lost Boys.”

Back then it wasn’t Team Edward or Team Jacob…it was which Corey do you love?

Corey Haim and Corey Feldman were teen stars who survived the 80’s and dominated movies, usually at each other’s side.

Off screen the dynamic duo were also attached at the hip. Both admittedly dabbled in drugs. At the time they were poster boys for the Just Say No campaign that urged children to stay away from drugs. Their hypocrisy was painfully obvious and eventually they both came clean.

While Feldman managed clean up his act, Haim couldn’t. Despite rehab trips and several attempts to remain sober, Corey couldn’t full give up his addictions. He would continually swear that he was finally free of his addiction repeatedly. Sadly, he repeatedly lied.

In 2007 he reunited with Feldman and slowly rose back into minor notoriety with a reality show called “The Two Coreys.” After two seasons, Feldman grew tired of Haim’s addiction and cut ties with him. The show cut and they both went back to their respective routines.

Early this morning Haim’s routine took it’s toll. He was found unresponsive by his mother around 3 am. He was taken to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank. Nothing could be done to save the actor’s life and was pronounced dead.

Another death related to drug abuse begs the question…when will we learn?
