‘Family Ties’ Star Brian Bonsall Arrested – Mug Shot Photo
Former “Family Ties” star Brian Bonsall has been arrested in Boulder, Colorado after police caught up with him over a year-old assault charge.
He skipped out on court in July 2008, but was nabbed by authorities Saturday. He was charged with third degree assault and failure to appear charges regarding a previous assault case. He reportedly hit his best friend, Micheal Trujillo, in the face with part of a broken stool.
He was at his best friend’s home in Boulder, when he got pinched for fighting with Trujillo. The two were arguing when Bonsall attacked him with the stool. They both had been drinking like fish throughout the night.
According to the report, “Bonsall then said that he and Trujillo both are bipolar and like drugs. Bonsall said that he takes a lot of drugs and sometimes those drugs make him forget things.”
He’s being held on bail for $7,500.
Brian, your eight-year-old self should be kicking you in the pants right now.

Interesting timing…..he’s been on the run for a year yet is nabbed a few days after a Family Ties “reunion” on the Today show and Meredith Baxter coming out.
