Kandi Burruss’ Ex-Fiance, A.J. Jewell, To Be Exhumed

Kandi Burruss stars on “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” and her ex-fiance, Ashley “A.J.” Jewell was murdered outside of an Atlanta nightclub earlier this year.
Frederick Richardson was subsequently arrested for voluntary manslaughter after Jewell passed away due to head trauma. Authorities claimed that the blunt force trauma to the head was the culprit for his death, but since, a medical examiner has also cited sickle cell disease as a possible contributor.
This proclamation has angered his family, who have set forth to prove that A.J. was murdered. His father, Rev. A.B. Jewell, Sr., said, “I want the public to know my son did not have sickle cell disease. I hope this next autopsy will prove that my son was murdered.”
The family’s rep, Markel Hutchins, said, that having played a part in the “Real Housewives” may have hindered the investigation into Jewell’s death. He said, “It’s almost as if A.J. and his family were being penalized because of his high-profile nature and because of his celebrity lifestyle.”
