I’m Sorry Broadway…Ashlee Simpson Roxie Hart Repeat

After making her debut in “Chicago” as Roxie Hart, Ashlee Simpson will reprise her role as for Broadway.

Simpson is due on stage for a 6 week run of the musical about a fame hungry mechanic’s wife turned murderer. This will mark the first time that Jessica Simpson’s little sister has been on Broadway. She was recently fired from the CW revived drama “Melrose Place” for several rumored reasons all of which stem from being a diva.

Let’s hope she can keep her ego in check long enough to finish the December run. Fran and Barry Weissler are responsible for this so please send any strongly worded letters of distaste their way.

As a theatre major, it’s disgraceful that Broadway would stoop so low as to hire a celebrity with no singing or acting talent whatsoever over a non-celebrity Broadway aspiring actor or actress with actual talent who struggles taking the subway and works at a 9-5 while still making time to struggle going to auditions and works on his craft. This is a disgrace, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I love Melrose Place, but I’d rather have Ashlee Simpson taint television than taint Broadway, once (and still) the platform for greats such as Angela Lansbury, Bea Arthur, Julie Harris, Liza Minelli. And now…Ashlee Simpson? Wow…just…wow.

Sorry about the “I don’t know what you’re talking about”, that was not intended for you, it was directed at another site that had the nerve to say that this was a good thing. Damn copy and paste, hehe.

What a joke. I could do better, and I haven’t acted since High School.

Ha ha… did anyone else snicker at the “they’re gonna recognize my nose” line? Not since you changed it, honey…

The show will have the lowest ticket sales of all time!!! I wish the Simpson sisters and their creepy dad would get in Falcon Heenes balloon and fly away!
