Demi Moore’s Missing Hip On The Cover Of ‘W’ Magazine - Photos

By Roberta | November 18, 2009

Demi Moore must be weirded out by this news. Apparently the good folks over at “W” magazine employ some really novice Photoshoppers, because she’s on the cover of their December issue, missing part of her hip.

I laughed, I ain’t even going to lie. How could they not notice that they chopped off part of an A-lister’s anatomy like that?!?

They lopped off a chunk of her left thigh in the photos, and left her looking utterly strange. Doesn’t anyone catch these errors before they’re made public?

I can imagine that most celebrities like airbrushing when it suits them, but this is over the top. Seriously, some hack at “W” is probably kicking himself for this tragic mess.

I think someone is going to get fired over this one.

But she is supposed to be favoring her right leg so I think this looks okay.

    Hi Allie,

I just read your Demi Moore photoshop article - I’m the LA fashion
photographer who started all the fuss (see:
    http://www.boingboing.net/2009/11/17/demi-moore-is-ralph.html)

To help support your point of view, and rebut those who say it’s just
“the way she’s standing” - I wanted to send you a zoom I did of the
image. Her hip is clearly magically “fused” to the sash. This doesn’t
    happen organically; it happens digitally.

    Obviously a clumsy mistake.

All pictures get edited… They don’t need to be celebrities, all model pictures get modified, and they cut chunks out that look weird or not so good. It is not a good thing, but its not rare at all.
