‘Dancing With The Stars’ Week Eight Recap
By Roberta | November 9, 2009
Eliminated from last week’s “Dancing With The Stars” were Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer, along with Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova, leaving whiney boy Aaron Carter to dance another day.

Starting off tonight’s show is the Ballroom Round with Mya and Dmitry doing the Quickstep. They did a fantastic job, and the judges were all in agreement. They scored a total of 29.
Up next are Aaron and Karina, doing the Foxtrot and Karina is obviously not feeling well, but didn’t want to forgo the opportunity to take Aaron to the semi-finals. They scored a total of 23.
Joanna and Derek are up next, doing the Quickstep. Not too shabby! The judges weren’t buying it and Bruno said that Joanna looked like she was running away from a fire. They scored a total of 23.
Kelly and Louis are up next dancing the Foxtrot and they’re dancing really smoothly and graceful. The judges were in agreement and gave them a score of 25.
Donny and Kym are up next doing the Viennese Waltz and it was fluid, elegant, and just lovely. The judges loved it and found it mesmerizing, but Len called it a bit “artsy fartsy”. They scored a total of 26.
Up next, the dancers are going through the Latin Round, with era specific dances. First up are Mya and Dmitry doing their 70’s Samba. It was comical at times, but cute. The judges ate it up and gave them a total score of 30, which is the highest score for the season. Nice!

Up next with a 1990’s Samba are Aaron and Karina. The dance was well coordinated, but didn’t seem too era appropriate for my liking. The judges loved it and gave them a score of 27.
Joanna and Derek are up next with a futuristic Paso Doble and they just look really weird. That had to be the strangest thing I’ve seen on this show, without a doubt. The judges thought it was pure genius and gave them a total score of 29.
Doing a sixties themed Jive are Kelly and Louis, where Kelly brought some of her knowledge to the table. That was so fast-paced and funky with Kelly’s green hair and Louis’ mop top hairstyle. The judges loved it and gave them a total score of 26.
Dancing a 1980’s themed Paso Doble are Donny and Kym and she’s got the funky puff hairstyle that was popular back in the day. Donny seems really restricted by his choice in pants, but on the same token, I’m loving her dress. The judges seemed to like it and gave them a total score of 24.
