Adam Lambert’s Swastika Adorned Jacket Sells On eBay

By Roberta | October 5, 2009

The jean jacket that Adam Lambert wore on the Idols Live tour has recently been auctioned off on eBay. Selling to the tune of $2,000. The swastika adorned jacket now has a new owner.

It’s all original, of course. The jacket shows what looks to be a drawn on picture of Iron Maiden mascot, Eddie. On his head covering and in place of one his eyes are what appears to be swastikas. Yes, we know Adam is Jewish AND gay, both of which Nazis hated. So this doesn’t make sense.

We sought out Adam for comment via his Twitter page, but were unlucky. What he did say, in jest, was this:

Tokio Hotel album is out too!!! Love them Germans!

Can you believe some sucker paid $2,000 for this jacket?!??

AmazingDesignerFinds had the jacket on eBay, along with some other memorabilia from other “American Idol” stars, such as Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, and Matt Giraud. None of them even came close to the price for this treasure.

Personally, I’m waiting for the Allison Iraheta Wiccan t-shirt to become available. Just kidding, I totally made that up.

To the ignoramuses not in the know, the Swastika is an ancient religious symbol used by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and others looooong before Hitler and the Nazis adopted it.

The older meaning of swastica is to bring good luck. It’s used even in ancient jewelery found in different parts of Europe, also here in Finland.

homosexuality is a perversity, what else would you expect of this screw up? this should open the eyes of all of you deluded fools who hold him up as a role model. our church will boycott his album and petition any store that sells this, not because he is gay but because he is pro-nazi! we stopped borders from stocking ‘the god delusion’ and clay aiken’s CDs before, this should be easy. thank God i live in a country where homosexuality is punishable by jail and we have strong censorship laws to protect our young! i feel sorry for you suckers.

This is not a swastika. There is a lot of symbolism to this, but it is not related to the Nazis. Please stop spreading this kind of ridiculous rumor.

the jacket looked fantastic on Adam, and people can buy whatever they choose if they have the moneByey, so go for it. It will never look as good on anyone as it did on Adam. And-Adam likes the Germans, not the Nazi, since he did so musical theatre there with very nice german artists. As for the ET named Jahovah (see books:The Gods of Eden, Sons of god, Daughters of Men, Chariots Of The Gods, or read Ezekiel in the Bible )time to catch up, quantum physics if more spiritual than religion-it proves unity, oneness. However, the jacket was just an attractive piece of clothing to Adam, nothing more. But the author gets to use Adam’s namve to get readers.

Allie, unless you can PROVE that Adam was even aware of those symbols (I had to squint to find them on an un-magnified picture), let alone responsible for them, this article could be seen as slander. The word “adorn” is hardly appropriate.
Also, how do you know that someone else didn’t draw these on Adam’s jacket without his knowledge BECAUSE he is Jewish? He could be the victim here.

  11. Pam Says:

Adam respects everyone’s right to his or her opinion and hates no one. Wearing the symbol–if that’s indeed what it is–of the very people who would want him dead sends a message. What better revenge than a gay Jew wearing that symbol? Think about it.

  12. Carmen Says:
    October 6th, 2009 at 6:24 am

The symbol on the jacket is an ancient symbol of the Hindu religion. It was reversed by a close Hitler aid to represent the Nazi movement. Asia is full of these symbols in temples and on buildings and has nothing to do with the Nazis.

Too bad garbage like this “news” is even addressed. Here’s something that’s relevant … ADAM has amassed over 230K for his DonorsChoose.org charity for kids in public schools where funds for art appreciation were cut from the budget … he asked his fans to donate in lieu of buying gifts for him and they did … thus benefiting nearly 100K children who would have had to do without school supplies. Now THAT’S NEWS!!!

why isn’t the media calling him out on this shit - that is a fucking swastika, and there is no way to spin this… how dare adam lambert put that horrific symbol of hate, death and destruction on his person, and how dare the public remain silent… please speak up and out about this… he thinks he’s going to get away with this - no effing way… lambert has gone too far.

  15. Josh Says:
    October 6th, 2009 at 7:55 am

Since Adam Lambert is both Jewish and gay it is safe to assume that the symbols on the jacket are not Nazi swastika’s but the original swastika design used by many cultures (India, Japan, Navajo, Hopi) and religions (Hindu, Buddhist, Jain) around the world.

I think the circle symbol on his jacket is also a Jain symbol.

This is really a hit piece intended to cause harm to Adam Lambert’s career. I mean this blog doesn’t intend that but this story was initially spread by VFTW and Rickey who hate Adam and have expressed their wish that the larger media pick up this story and that it would hurt his career.

This is really a faux-controversy. Everyone knows that Jewish Adam is NOT a Nazi sympathizer and that the swastika has many other meanings. Most likely it is the eastern Hindu/Jain version being represented here.

So what’s the problem? Those swastikas are the Hindu symbol for peace. Notice that the open ends are on the right. That symbol is ancient.

On the Nazi swastika the open ends are on the LEFT. Look it up.

Honestly!! Trying to suggest that any Jewish person - gay or straight - would be advocating the Nazis is like saying an African-American would advocate the KKK.

  18. JLM Says:
    October 6th, 2009 at 9:13 am

Those symbols are used for eyes and could just as easily be seen as windmills or other symbols (especially since Adam is Jewish). I would bet if they put the Skin Graft Leather jacket on Ebay it would get on hell of lot of money!! I would bet it would be worth at least 10 to 15 Thousand!! It is awesome and Adam was totally hot wearing it during Whole Lotta Love and taking it off for the Bowie Medley on tour.

  19. ohiogal Says:
    October 6th, 2009 at 9:15 am

Or, to clarify, the Hindu swastika and the Nazi swastika face in opposite directions. In any case, to hint that Adam is somehow promoting Nazi sentiment is silly.

Typical fans of this creep, they’ll defend the weirdo over anything. He could molest a child and they’d defend him. It’s a freaking swastika, nothing else, because Madame is trying to be edgy and cool. What he ends up being is a clueless idiot, oblivious to what a lot of people REALLY think about him. You ask anyone what the swastika symbol represents, and they’ll all answer the same thing. Hindu symbol of love my ass.

“liann” and “this is sick”, your ignorance disgusts me as it should any individual with a modicum of intelligence. It is not Adam’s fault, or that of anyone who cares to educate themselves, that you are clueless.

“liann”, how dare you think that you and your ilk have the right to tell people what they should and shouldn’t sell and buy? Even worse, in the name of religion. Give me strength! I am a Christian and you should be ashamed of youself. Besides, do you honestly think that any shop owner with an ounce of business sense is going to not stock an album that is such a certain money spinner for them? Did your last brain cell die of loneliness?

Go back to your little middle ages world and leave those of us who realise that it is the 21st century to get on with our lives.

Yes, of course, Adam is anti-Semitic. Just the same as Obama is anti-blacks.

Honestly, this is actually more hilarious than Kris Allen’s sales figures.

Personally, being soo conservative and wanting no bad press for Adam, I wish the symbol did not appear. I don’t like controversy. However, Adam is very clever and loves controversy, knowing it equals edginess and publicity. Since he is both Jewish and very anti-hate by nature, anyone in his right mind knows it is being used here in the ancient happy sense. A smiley face just wouldn’t draw the same attention. Gotta love it.

Here in Switzerland we deal hard with the Swastika caused by the Nazis for using it in a wrong way - it’s forbidden - but to have one blocked against Nazism is allowed - I’ll never get the point.

  25. meme Says:
    October 6th, 2009 at 12:14 pm

That is a very old symbol. Unfortunately most people just associate it with Nazis. Whether it was intentional by Adam or not, he is definitely the perfect person to wear it (being both Jewish and gay) and return it to its original meaning. Thus, shoving it back in the face of hate and demonstrating that hate holds no power over a symbol nor does it have to hold power over any of us. Adam rocks. :)

  26. Janette Says:
    October 6th, 2009 at 1:56 pm

Please, anyone knows that Adam is totally against anything hateful. There are those that are looking for reasons to hate Adam as he is a gay jewish man. He is a very kind and talented guy who wore the sign, if it weren’t put there by owner, who knows, as an anti-hate sign. And, oh my god, liann, you are a totally morone. Love how people like you think you can snap your fingers and people will listen. Get in the real world or just leave it and leave those of us who deal with our up to date issues alone to be happy. Drop the issues folks, Adam is a kind person and doesn’t deserve such crap!! Find a life okay!!

Oh my gosh, people, did you get the whole point of the article??? The point is that it isn’t really his jacket - it’s a fake, sold by some scam-artist who knew they could trick a naive fan into believing it was Adam Lambert’s.

I agree with the other poster that Adam may not have even been aware that the symbols were there.

I don’t know what Iron Maiden is, but it kind of looks like a manga-type of drawing (Japanese). The Buddhists in Japan have long used the “manji” symbol–you’ll see it on temples! It has only a very positive meaning in Japan.

Adam’s actions have always shown me he is a kind, generous human being.

I choose to believe he had no negative intent in wearing such a jacket.

ALLIE….ROBERTA FERGUSON, I knew you would write another blog IMPROMPTU the moment you’ll see Adam’s twat that I POSTED on your other site. Like a hawk, I waited patiently for that new thread to appear. YES, I waited…and it didn’t take that long (as in..NOT LONG). Dang, I was having a BLAST, I forgot to time it! LMAO!

Isn’t Tokyo Hotel a GERMAN band who happens to have their album out today? LOL! Either Adam was unaware of this bedazzled ugly vest-gate or the “German” connotation was just a coincidence.

And w/ regards to this blog, my below 70% IQ tells me that Adam “adorned” himself with swastika symbol because he either hated himself so much OR he is NOT a Jew. Is he NOT gay too? …closeted Nazi! We’ve been fooled!…I’m buying the other guy’s CD..now!

This pic of a statue in Japan has the Buddhist “manji” on the arch.

    No dots.

A right-facing manji like this one represents strength and intelligence. A left-facing manji represents love and mercy.

Liann, the only Nazi-like person here is you! The Nazi’s punished people who were gay (this is what you want). They loved censorship also. Your “church” protested Clay Aiken! Whose next, Bambi? Oh I forgot Disney is evil too. People like you Liann are responsible for creating evil in this world! Adam Lambert accepts everyone with love and kindness. You need to learn from him.
