Is the deliciously trashy Lily Allen going to retire at the ripe old age of 24? Kinda. Yes.

The “Smile” songstress confirmed that she will not be making anymore records, albums, songs or touring. Why? Allen explains via a blogspot she created called “It’s Not Alright” which aimed at music sharing. The blog has been wiped clean and her reps have gone on damage control since she wrote:

“Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record. I do however remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade.

“The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I’m concerned, so I don’t stand to profit from legislation. Except future purchases of previously recorded material.”

The reps fired back with:

“She is not quitting pop music and is still promoting her current album, which is why she said she is not thinking ahead to another record.”

The further claimed her rant and blog were shut down due to “abuse.” Take that as you will. To me it sounds like a loose cannon PMS-ing.
