Despite a slew of stories and photos mixed with nearly a years worth of rumors that he is dating his “Twilight” costar, Robert Pattinson insists he is single. He and Kristen Stewart have been battling romance rumors since their on screen chemistry followed them to everyday life.

The two have been spotted together often and most recently hit a Kings of Leon concert with their fellow “Eclipse” cast mates. A few photos appeared to show them kissing, however they were blurry fuzzy and are hard to make out. (Pun intended.)

So in effort to dodge intrusion into his love life, he insisted he is single. During one of his many interviews Pattinson discussed the dating scene in his new found stardom.

“I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t know why. You always think you’re going to get more girls after you’ve made a movie and it never happens. You sit there and you’re like ‘I’m a big movie star and I want to go out with some models’ but I don’t know why that doesn’t happen. It’s especially different in LA. Most of the women there are actresses and by default that makes them a little bit nuts – not that that’s a bad thing. But I don’t really have a type.”

Millions girls of thrilled to hear this news, but I am sure not all of them are convinced. Still, he won’t be facing a shortage of females (and males) standing in rain, snow or stifling heat to see him at premieres.

“Most of the girls are all pretty young so it’s just kind of funny. But then you get the Twilight Mums who love you like mums! And you can take that too far. I mean, it could be ‘Edward breaks up Twilight family.’”

Now that I would pay top dollar to see.
