Paris Jackson Speaks During Michael Jackson’s Memorial (See Video)

By Allie | July 7, 2009

Paris Michael Katherine Jackson broke down in tears as she spoke about her father, Michael Jackson.

Some mean spirited bloggers are saying that Paris didn’t belong on the stage, or speaking. I’m sure it was something that SHE wanted to do, not a performance or an act.

Truly, I believe Debbie Rowe needs to leave her children with the Jackson family.

She had the right to speak for her dad, I feel so bad for her and her brothers. Especially her family. Rest In Peace Michael Jackson!!! All my blessings go to you!

To us he was Michael Jackson the king of pop a star ect ect but to Paris he was Daddy. Just like my daddy was to me and your dad’s are or were to you. God bless you little angel and know that your daddy is with you.

My family thought the family going on stage was an appreciation on behalf of Michael to all his fans and contrary to some comments thought that it was fitting that Paris had what really is the final word of him as a father - loved in every sense and spoken by a daughter who clearly each one of us can identify with (a lovely, well brought up, young girl - a credit to his parenting). Also, having seen Michael’s brother and sister on television in the UK in recent years - I think they have shown us what a lovely, warm, ‘normal’ family they are. I shall miss him - a light has gone.

I watched the whole funeral on TV and what Paris said really tugged at my heart. I give her a lot of credit for speaking to a crowd that gigantic when she’s going through such a rough time.

I agree with you. I think the children should stay with the Jackson’s too. Debbie Rowe already stated once she had the children for Michael to have not because she wanted them. I hope they keep the children with their family who love them and has loved them since birth. It’s the right thing to do.

Just before she spoke you can see her uncles checking with her to make sure she wanted to do it, and she is nodding. They obviously didn’t push her to say anything, they were protective of all three kids. It was her choice, and in a lot of ways she spoke for not only herself and her brothers. What an incredibly brave thing for her to do. She must have been acutely aware of the comments made about her father and felt she had to say something. Good on her.

He was a beautiful man who raised a beautiful daughter. This little girl did not do anything she didnt want to. this was her father. her daddy. she no longer at such a young age, has a daddy. so tragic. You are ignorant to believe that was staged. There is nothing but true genuine raw emotion there.

That child is the epitome of everything that Michael Jackson fought to maintain in this world, not just for himself but for everyone. This may sound dramatic, but that beautiful young lady, on the inside and out, just partially restored my faith in the future of humanity. She will grow up and she will do wonderful things for this world just like her father.

It really broke my heart when I heard
Paris say those words. I had to cry. What Paris
did, was saying Good Bye to her father and
anyone who thinks she shouldn´t have been
up there is wrong. She just showed us how much
she loved her father. It was his memorial so it
was her right zu say Good Bye. Paris belonged
on that stage and theres no doubt about that.

    Good bless

R.I.P MJ We miss you all

Michael’s daughter made me cry and I was very touched by her but I do agree with many as I watched Paris on that stage I didn’t feel it was the right thing to have those kids exposed in such a manner as that one. After all, Michael always kept them from the media and I don’t think that is what he would have wanted.
