David Arquette Camps Out Above The Madison Square Garden Marquee For Charity
By Roberta | July 14, 2009
David Arquette is spending eight hours today and tomorrow in a box above the Madison Square Garden marquee in an effort to feed the hungry.

What a good deed!
Of the experience, he said earlier, “I’m hot in the box. There’s a shadow just starting to come over now, but that midday midtown sun was piping!”
His efforts are helping to raise $250,000 in donations for Feeding American and Snickers’ Bar Hunger campaign.
He said, “I’ve seen first hand the impact of hunger, which is why campaigns like Bar Hunger are so critical. Snickers and I can’t do it alone. We need to educate all Americans about this issue and mobilize them to do something. The only way we can truly ‘Bar Hunger’ is together.”
If you can’t make it to Madison Square Garden to donate in person, you can make donations via Facebook or text message:
* Snickers will match every donation (up to a total of $25,000) made to Feeding America via the Snickers Facebook page.
* People can make a $5.00 donation to Feeding America by texting the word “BAR” to 90999 (Click here for more information on mobile giving).
Together we can all wipe out hunger everywhere.
