American Idol: Slash and Duets

The show started with an announcement that the entire set was starting to combust and fall apart. Then Adam strutted out looking like a fierce queen from the 80’s. Ryan ‘The Hobbit’ Seacrest announced the kids would pair up for duets. But not before Adam got the Led out. Lambert tackled “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin. I found it awful. He needed to stick to something from the 80’s hair band rock.

Kara and her ridiculous ass needs to calm down. I think her eye is twitching. She is practically humping the judges table and foaming at the mouth.Allison saved my evening and sang (predictably) some Janis Joplin. She sang “Cry Baby”….it was good, but not great. Kara tried to pull of the term “props” and reminded me just how annoying and fake she really is. However, Simon and Allison are ready to get out their dueling pistols. Iraheta took out her lady testicular fortitude and challenged Simon’s dull comments.

Kris and Karaoke Gokey then did a duet of “Renegade.” It, despite my abhorrence for Danny, I liked it. I know…get your ice skates because hell just froze over. Kris followed with his solo performance of “Over Me” circa the Beatles. He was just out of his element and it wasn’t good for him. It was probably his last performance.

Speaking of bad performances…Danny took on “Dream On” and bit off more than he could chew. The end…everyone waiting for the signature final note and it sounded as though someone was murdering a pterodactyl. It was bad, bad and bad. Of course he thought he was the shiz and refused to admit it was horrid. Adam and Allison followed with their duet, “Slow Ride.”

The show ends with the announcement that Paula will be performing tomorrow and I am drooling with anticipation of what this Vicodin Piñata will do. As last night was a thrill for me, we will be doing more live coverage of American Idol tonight for the results show where I am guessing we will say buh-bye to Kris.
