Madonna was hanging out with friend, Steven Klein in Eastern Long Island, horseback riding, when a snapper spooked the horse. Madge fell off the horse and was taken to a local hospital.

Her injuries are not serious as she only suffered a few bumps and bruises. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution. She’s not a spring chicken anymore, but the good news is that she didn’t break any bones. Unlike an incident in 2005, when she broke several bones as a result of a riding injury.

Her rep released a statement, saying, “Madonna who was thrown off a horse earlier today has just been released from Southampton hospital with minor injuries and bruises…The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the weekend. Madonna will be having further tests and continues to remain under observation by doctors.”

Her manager, Guy Oseary, also blamed eager snappers for the incident. He Twittered, “Madonnas accident today was caused by the papparazzi.. they spooked the horse she was riding.. these guys dont know when to stop!!”

First time is luck, second time is chance. Third time, she may not be so lucky. Get well soon Madge!
