American Idol: Results and Insults

It was a painful American Idol evening. Despite the performance by Flo Rida, what appeared to be a slightly drunk Kellie Pickler and a surprise guest, Frankie Avalon.

The bottom three were picked from another night of stale karaoke tunes. Anoop Desai was first to be sent to the naughty chairs. He might as well grab some sandwiches and set up camp there because I have a feeling he is going to be back there, again, next week. Scott MacIntyre was also sent to his predicted bottom dweller ring. Anoop was sentenced to take care of the blind guy while the others awaited the third banishment. Sorry Lil Rounds. She was sent to bottom for the first time.

Seacrest then asked the judges if they’d save any of the 3 this week. Simon noted he would consider it for 2 of them. Lil was then sent back to the rest of the hopefuls gaining safety for another week. It was down to Anoop and Scott. A 30,000 vote difference left Scotty on the chopping block.

They once again made him sing for his supper and it was terrible to watch. Meanwhile the judges were arguing whether or not to use the one veto for the season. The judges panel argued during the entire song if he was worth the veto. It was said because Seacrest had stated the decision had to be unanimous. So it was inevitable he was done. Simon stated that he was torn.

“Last week it didn’t matter. I didn’t care and she (Megan Joy) didn’t care. I really, really like you, Scott,” Cowell said. “I’m looking over there, and I think there’s a bunch of talented singers, so this decision isn’t just based on you. It’s whether I think somebody, or we think somebody, is more talented over there.”

Cowell revealed that 2 of the judges against the veto and the other two were Drunky and Annoying so they don’t count. Scott was sent home. Next week Quentin Tarantino is the guest mentor. Yup. I have no clue either. Perhaps he too is being sponsored by the cola gods and will led the contestants in the theme of ‘Songs that Mention the Advertisers Ford and Diet Coke.”
