I LOVE cheese. Yes I do; Edam, Cheddar, Stilton – I’m even partial to a bit of Brie from time to time but what I don’t love is cheese that is so overpowering and so… what’s the word ‘cheesy’ you kind of want to vomit… That’s how I felt when I found out that mega cheese boy band Spandau Ballet are back! Oh dear, somebody bring me a bucket!

Ok so I may be acting over the top just a tad but is it just me or is anyone else sick of old eighties groups reuniting ‘just one last time?’ It never is ‘just one last time’ – go away and do it gracefully!

For those of you who are thrilled here’s the info:

The band who had hits with ‘Gold’ and ‘True’ are expected to reveal today that they are not only going to embark on a new world tour (America you have been warned) but will also be unveiling new material (I can hardly contain my excitement).

I tell you what though it should make interesting ‘fly on the wall’ material; the band split in 1989 and had a massive- very public- feud in 1999 over song royalties which ended up in the High Court.

Back in their prime time the band had SIX studio album’s, TEN top singles but only managed to claim the top spot just once, with True in 1983.

I give them 6 months – tops!
