Ewan McGregor Impostor Running Amok
By Cara | March 9, 2009
While the world is mourning the loss of Martha Stewart’s dog, Ewan McGregor is jumping into action.
The “Deception” star has some identity issues. Someone has been masquerading as him online. Ewan is suing mad as the imposter has set up several accounts under his name. Twitter and Myspace are just two of the sites the fake McGregor uses on a regular basis. Over 20,000 fans have fallen for the act and are following his updates and messages. Typically this wouldn’t be a big deal. However, if minors are involved it could mean trouble for the star.
Reps for the real Ewan are on the case. They are working to get his fake identity removed from the sites.
“Ewan does not have a Twitter site or one on MySpace either. Someone is just making it all up. People monitor his movements. We are looking into taking action to have the Twitter site removed.”
So the updates you might be following are probably from a crazy fan or 40 year old creep with nothing better to do.
