Amy Winehouse Charged With Assault
Amy Winehouse has just returned from her two-month long vacation in St. Lucia to London, and now that she’s got that out of the way, she’s got another problem on her hands.
The singer was just charged with assault after an alleged incident from September where she reportedly punched a female dancer in the eye. She was at the End Of Summer Ball with her god-daughter, when the victim, Sherene Flash, asked for a picture.

Of that incident, a friend said, “Sherene asked Amy if she could take a photo. Amy was OK at first, but when Sherene asked if a friend could get in the shot, Amy lashed out.”
We all know that Amy has lashed out at people before, but this is the first time anyone has done anything about her erratic behavior.
A spokesman for London’s Metropolitan Police says, “The singer has been charged. She will appear on bail at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday 17th March charged with common assault.”
The police weren’t naming any names in reference to the victim, but they did say this, “It is in connection with an incident in Berkeley Square on the 26th September 2008.”
