America Idol - Poor Johnny Cash

Dear sweet mother of Grand Ole Opry! What was Adam Lambert thinking? Let’s just get this over with. Lambert took a piece of sacred music and turned into eye porn. He was eye-bonking the camera the entire time he was on stage. I felt a bit violated and confused after his performance.
Adam sang Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” and butchered it. While I appreciate the fact he was trying to make the song his own and bring a fresh quality….it was hellacious. The sitar will never sound the same to me. Now…moving on.
Danny Gokey and Alexis Grace got a run for their money this week. Kris Allen finally pulled a rabbit out of his hat after stealing the show with a performance of Garth Brooks’ “To Make You Feel My Love.” Matt Giraud also made himself known with a rendition of Carrie Underwood’s song “So Small.” Danny also attempted an Underwood song, “Jesus Take the Wheel.” After a shaky start it was not is best work. The fact he was wearing a bright white life jacket and hot spotlights gleaming bright white lights on him didn’t help. To me, it was all very corny and played too much on his sensitive side. I am ready for someone to bust out already. I am craving the David Cook knockout performances that make you want to jump on iTunes and get their song.
So who is going to go? Sorry Scott MacIntyre, it’s the same thing every week. I like the guy, but slow jams with the Christian blind guy is getting boring. Dial Idol predicts that Alexis Grace will be meeting her end. They also predict Allison Iraheta is running in dead last. I think she is grossly underestimated. (Perhaps I am just hoping she is.) I can tell you who is not going home. Megan and her boobs of wonder. She looked gorgeous from head to toe. I am actually hunting down that dress in hopes it will give me the same effect.
