Why Christian Bale Flipped Out

Christian Bale’s rant on the set of T4 made the rounds on the internet and it’s everywhere right now. It was even remixed into a techno song.


People everywhere were quick to say that he was a spoiled A-list actor and that he shouldn’t be allowed to have temper tantrums like that. Alas, we’ve found the truth behind the rant.

A snitch on the set of “Terminator: Salvation” said that the Director of Photography, Shane Hurlbut is a light tweaker. He’s young and likes to mess with the lights on set even after the director calls “Action!”

The snitch went on to reveal that the scene was a very emotional and tough scene between Christian Bale’s character and Bryce Howard’s. The scene required nothing but concentration, but Shane decided to move the lights around while filming.

Bale had warned the D.P. on multiple occasions previously, about messing with the lights with the cameras rolling, but he did it again anyways, causing Bale to go off in the “rant heard around the world”.

The source also said that Bale was cool on the set and was the utmost gentleman and the D.P. was really unprofessional.

How many times would you “talk” to an aggravating co-worker who keeps messing things up untill you finally flip?
Where was the director? Why didn’t he make sure the silly light guy did his job?

I worked with Shane Hurlbut briefly in 1987 (I can’t believe I remember this), and have to LOL that he got yelled at. Doesn’t sound like he’s changed much over the years. No big surprised he got yelled at. ROTFL>:->

Sometimes stuff just builds up until you just flip out unfortunately for Christian Bale this incident was recorded and now it will come back to haunt him in years to come. Putting the incident in context might explain why Christian Bale flipped out but other than the people in Terminator Salvation no one really knows what happenend. The fact that it p**sed Christian Bale off more than the director etc just shows his passion as an actor. Unfortunately now his mother has got on the band waggon and has said “i knew he had a temper”!!!!!
