Wired Music: Lady Gaga’s ‘Just Dance’ Is #1 On Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart

It’s been a long-time coming for Lady Gaga. She started out small, she designs her own clothes and has a theatrical stage presence, and now Lady Gaga has definitely arrived.


With hit singles, “Poker Face“, “Just Dance“, and “Beautiful Dirty Rich” under her belt, Lady Gaga has taken the world by storm. She’s earned every bit of “the fame” that she has now.

After 22 weeks on the charts, this was the longest climb to the top since Creed’s “With Arms Wide Open” in November 2000. She made it to number one, and to celebrate, performed her Grammy nominated song, “Just Dance” on Jay Leno last night:


It sounds almost as good live as it does on her album. Not so sure about the outfit that she was wearing, though. The song was good and the girl’s got moves, and bonus: she’s not lip-syncing.
